About us
‘Everything that is naturally good for us is good for the planet too.’
Living Plantfully is about welcoming beautiful, nourishing plants into your home, your kitchen, and your life – and enjoying all the incredible benefits they offer for your wellbeing. This could include eating more plant-based foods, starting to grow your own vegetables and herbs, creating a greener, less toxic home, nurturing house plants, transitioning to natural self-care, or making more time to connect with nature in the wider world.
Living Plantfully is a holistic approach for living a longer, happier, healthier and more sustainable life. My goal is to empower you to make small lifestyle changes that are not only surprisingly easy and enjoyable, but can substantially improve your quality of life – and the future prospects of the planet – without radically changing the way you live or sacrificing anything you enjoy.
Celebrating deliciousness, kindness, health and mindfulness, the Living Plantfully online magazine gathers wisdom from leading experts in growing, food, health and sustainability, curating inspirational, well-researched, evidence-based features on nutrition, gardening, wellness and eco living. All the recipes on this site are vegetarian or vegan, but we invite anyone interested in Living Plantfully to join our supportive, judgement-free community, whether you’re just dipping your toe in the waters of a plant-centred lifestyle, or you’re ready to dive right in.
Welcome to a label-free, joyful way to eat and live more plantfully– we know you’re going to love it.

About the editor
Lindsey Harrad, the former managing editor of Vegetarian Living magazine, the UK’s best-selling and award-winning national vegetarian food and lifestyle title, is an author, editor and writer with over 20 years’ experience. She is currently working towards qualifying as a Level 4 RSPH advanced nutritional therapist, with a particular interest in plant-based diet and health.
Lindsey has written her first book, Living Plantfully: Your Guide to Growing, Cooking and Living a Healthy, Happy and Sustainable Plant-Based Life, published by Welbeck Balance. Find out more HERE (link to books page).
Growing up as the only vegetarian (probably) in an East Midlands village (even among her own family), Lindsey draws on a lifetime of personal and professional experience navigating a plant-centred lifestyle and is an advocate for ‘gentle activism’, enabling people to embrace positive change at their own pace.
‘I’m a normal working parent navigating my way through life while raising a family, trying to make the best choices I can, like most people. But I do have bags of knowledge and practical skills in not only surviving – but thriving – on a plant-centred lifestyle.
‘I know how difficult it can be to make lifestyle changes sometimes. It’s almost always an imperfect journey, it can often be a struggle to get the whole family on board, and there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. But it can also be a fun, rewarding and life-enhancing journey when you do it in a way that works for you.
‘I believe that every tiny step towards a more natural, more mindful plant-centred life is a positive one, and should be celebrated.’
Lindsey is available for feature commissions, recipe development and collaborations, speaking opportunities, and providing expert comment and insights on living a plant-centred lifestyle.
